It is not the government's job to address the needs of the people, the needs are supposed to be addressed at the state level, not the federal level, because people in different regions will have different needs. by allowing states to address their own needs, the people living in that state will have a say as to what those needs are. (i say allowing, but really it is the law 10th amendment) the current state of the republican party is not much different than the democratic party, they both want control of my life in one way or the other. I want freedom, that is the only need i am asking the government for, to secure my freedom, that means to protect my liberties. that does not mean to "keep me safe" by acting as the world's policeman, by "taking care of me" via gov. healthcare, or by "allowing" me to keep a portion of my income so that they can decide how to be charitable with the fruits of my labor. so I would say No.
