What did it mean to be an American in 1950s-1960's

    Answer: America in the 1950's just pulled themselves out of difficult times that surrounded them. people were questioning a lot of things. Then in the 1950's the country backlashed and went to the opposite direction. People became community orientated, and began to bring back their ideal of "Family" it was a very "happy" time. Our country was a great world power and America was looked up to.
