    The person with the most votes would be president and the person with the second most votes would be vice president. As a result, the President and vice President were elected from different parties. The flaw was that it led to the rise of political parties and the vice president and president were from opposite parties. It was the first presidential election in which political parties played a dominant role. It reveals the framers did not trust the common man
