Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of the day when all Americans would be the same. Unfortunately, despite the advances of civil rights, his dream was not realized. Social inequality still exists and on a large scale, political and social decisions continue to be made to benefit whites and the rich. There is a much larger number of black criminalized, marginalized, poor, out of schools and universities than whites. The government does little or nothing to reduce social inequality, not to mention the numerous cases of racism and violence that are increasing in the world.
