It is clear that Hitler sought to rid Germany and Europe of Jews.

    No and yes.

    Explanation:

    Because, the Nazis had to have contributed to it. If all the Germans realized or understood that their not better than any other race, then it wouldn't have happened. But at the same time, the person running against Hitler was worse than Hitler, (You can research his opposing candidate if you want), so the people were sort of forced to elect him as chancellor. You can choose which ever reason you think makes more sense.
