Their special tools are Axes and metal detectors. Due to the high value of gold, finding it is their priority. The other definition of a prospector is someone who explores the area for mineral deposits. In the US history prospecting led to the California Gold rush in 1848. The gold rush brought More than 250,000 people to California and transformed its society and economy.
