What is the organization and structure of the judicial branch and what is the significance of the Supreme Court and judicial review in ensuring democracy and equity in the United States

Organization and structure of the Judicial branch (from top to bottom):

-Supreme Court

-Court of appeals. Consisting of: (military court of appeal), (12 Court of appeals), and (Court of appeals for the federal circuit)

- Lower Court. Consisting of: (94 District courts), (specialized courts), (regulatory agencies)

The case that brought to the judicial branch will start at lower court. The larger the case, the more likely it is to be passed to the supreme court.

Judicial Review is a power held by the Judicial Branch that can be used to limit the influence of the legislative branch. Through the power of Judicial review, judicial branch can judge whether the law created by the congress is constitutional or unconstitutional. If the review determine that the law in constitutional, the legislative branch is not allowed to pass that law.

This is a form of separation of power that become the foundation of democracy in United States
