Older Incas were well respected and were not required to work.

    Explanation:

In Incas, unlike the many early primitive societies the elders were well respected and were kept in great regard. Most other primitive societies either abandoned their elders or forced them to work as the normal citizen but the Incas did not do so.

The Incas instead gave them state sponsored clothes and food and did not require an elder above 60 to work anywhere. It was anyway an achievement to live so long in the society they were alive in.

So, the people who had survived the harsh life were respected by all.
