Under early mercantilism, European nations sought to import raw materials from the americas and ship manufactured goods to their colonies. Has that pattern changed in today's world? Give reason for your answer

    Considering most nations don't hold or care to sustain said colonies and allow them to be fairly self sufficient and autonomous, yes, that pattern has certainly changed in today's world as they no longer SEEK to do it, rather it is a mere byproduct of their trade practices.
