what are some ways that the rise of industry contributed to a growing divide between the north and the south

    Basically the south was more farmed based and as a result didn't have a lot of land that they could give up for factories and manufacturing buildings.

    On the other side, the north was very industrialized and were able to produce mass goods which in return boosted their economy.
