In total, the Great Wall of China took more than 2,000 years to build - between 770 BC and 1633 AD. However, its construction was completed in stages - spanning over several dynasties and leaderships.

China has a sense of identity for the Chinese. This is one of the biggest advantages that the Great Wall created.

It portrayed Chinas endurance as well as their economical and political power.

The wall was also a great source of protection. Many of the great Chinese dynasties such as the Han, Qin, Ming dynasties benefited from it.

    Cheers!

2300 years ago the China great Wall was built.

China would have benefitted from building the wall as it would have protected them from attacks, and keep outsider off their territories, which would have make them to have a feeling of being secured since they do not ever want to be ruled by a foreigner ever again.

*The Mongols that ruled them before then were foreigners.
