A rise in Nationalism in Germany, Italy, Japan, and others, and the great depression

    Explanation:

Nationalim led to Italy trying to reclaim the glory of the Roman Empire, led Germany to turn to the nazis, and Japan to unify against China and expand. The depression caused many of the citizens to become poor and some looked to Communism as a way out, and the people against communism supported totalitarianism.
