Answer: B. Many extended their control and left larger kingdoms to their heirs.

Explanation: The Late Middle Ages are clad with difficulties, pandemics, wars. Great nation-states based on the kingdom, especially in France, England and the Christian kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula, were formed. The Kings strengthened their control and benefited from the wars and increased the land they controlled. In order to pay for frequent wars, Kings have increased taxes, and tax collection methods are more stringent and more efficient. Therefore, the representative bodies like parliament gained more power and authority because they needed approval for taxation. However, the kings continued to expand their influence on the account of the territorial estates of the nobility.
