    Fathers took their boys out of Christian school early to protect the boys from the Boxers.

    The Boxer Rebellion was a movement that emerged in China in the final years of the XIX century, opposing extraneous influence in religion, politics, etc. During this rebellion time, the Boxers were killing Christians and the fathers were always alarmed and made the decision to take their boys out of Christian School early so the Boxers wouldn't attack them ever.
