Do you think treaty of Versailles played a significant role in the cause of World War II?

    Yes, the treaty was viewed as unfair and unjust by the German people, and Hitler was able to gather public support by taking actions to violate the treaty and free the German people from it's strict rules and conditions. The treaty angered the Germans, so they broke it, and then World War II occurred shortly after.
