July of 1863 was not a good month for the traitorous Southern armies.

In July of 1863, in two very different parts of the country and under very different circumstances, the Northern Army proved that it could counter the military "genius" of the traitorous southern army and provided a much needed shot of morale boost for the Northern cause.

This enabled the North to begin a rally which would turn the tide of the War.
