    2. Harry S. Truman's policy was "Containment" by which he claimed that the US would prevent the spread of communism around the world by means of economic and military measures.

    3. Woodrow Wilson advocated to "Self-Determination" of nations. He was in favour of the principle of national sovereignty since people have the right to freely choose their sovereignty.

    4. Franklin D. Roosevelt was in favour of the "Independence for Vietnam" since he strongly opposed European colonialism as well as he wanted the US to firmly stay on the side of anti-colonialism.
