How many americans perished in the attack at Pearl Harbor

The surprising Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, left terrible devastation and the loss of numerous lives. Over 2,400 Americans died, including civilians. 20 ships were either damaged or destroyed, and 300 airplanes were destroyed by the Japanese Bombers.
