    The Eastern Woodland Indians lived in the east of plain Indians. They were mostly depended on the natural resources to fulfil their needs. They used to dwell in the forests hence they were called Eastern woodland Indians. Their clothing, shelter and food came from the forests and their villages were found near lake or stream, and constructed wigwams and longhouses. Mound builders, Cherokee and Iroquois are the three Woodland tribes.

    The eastern woodland tribes depended on agriculture and mostly grew three sister crops - Corn, Squash and Beans.
