    The Mukden Incident, also known as the Manchuria Incident, occurred in 1931 ... The bomb injured members of the Japanese army stationed in Manchuria which provided rationale to the Japanese invasion of Manchuria days later. The Japanese sought control of Manchuria - the Northern part of China.
