Why do you think Japanese chose to attack Pearl Harbor instead of the mainland United States? Explain answers.

    A large reason was to remove the threat that was the US navy as well as Japan's increased needs for resources such as oil and minerals. The US had also placed restrictions on that gaining of such resources. Plus the fact that President Roosevelt chose to move the navy from California to Pearl Harbour in 1939 was a direct threat to Japan.
