This cold spell managed to freeze big portions of the water in the seas and oceans, and this was especially evident further north were huge masses of ice were covering what was once a sea. Because of this, the Bering Land Bridge was created between Asia and North America, which allowed the people from Siberia to be able to cross the space between the two continents and settle in the Americas.
