How did the role of Egyptian pharaohs differ from the role of Mesopotamian rulers?

Even though both of these roles were seen as the higher power the way they got the power is what separates them.

Pharaohs are seen as Gods and are choosen by their bloodline, like monarchy, while Mesapotamian rulers where great warriors. After becoming "heroes" they were choosen to lead their people.
