    The first action that Louisiana took against the federal government after secession was seize the federal arsenal in Baton Rouge, because in January 23, 1860 Thomas Overton Moore was elected and positioned as the governor of the louisiana independent state and He ordered a year later in January 1861 to the Louisiana militia to take or seize the Federal arsenal in Baton Rouge and also the Federal forts that protected Jackson, St. Philip and New Orleans. He decided that action with the main purpose to establish officially the secession of Louisiana from the Union through the convention of January 23, which then was approved in January 26, 1861 by the convention and caused that a year later the war bursted, generating that the city gave up and Moore and the legislature had to run away from Baton Rouge.
