One of the skills that proves a leader is effective communication, and active listening evidences that trait.

When I'm a good listener that denotes communication skills, and also when I'm able to explain kindly and clearly to the people surrounding me what I expect from them and how we can improve the relationship, that denotes effective communication too.

When I let my friends and relatives be happy around me without bullying or trolling, I'm leading by example and practicing empathy, self-confidence and humility.

When I promise something to a member of my family or my group of friends, and then I deliver my promise in a timely manner without arrogance but with generosity, I'm showing that I'm a responsible person worthy of respect. That's also a way to lead by example in personal growth, and establishing trust as an important value.

When I'm as authentic as I can, while having fun around the people I know, getting to know them and allowing them to be part of my life, I'm exercising leadership.
