How did advances in agriculture effect the growth of cities

    Agriculture increased the population of cities because there was more food. agriculture also created job specialization, which increased profits and gave people more free time. Job specialization increased the amount of trade and innovations being made in a specific city which could also increase the growth of a city.

    More food = more people, more people means you need more food, which means you get people to make more food, which attracts more people, etc, etc.
