Roman authorities treated conquered people with justice.

Conquered people had to acknowledge Roman leadership. Conquered people had to pay taxes. conquered people had to provide supply to soldiers. Rome allowed them to keep their own customs, money and local government. many were allowed to become partial citizens. They could marry Romans and do trade in Rome.

Roman authorities treated conquered people in a very just way. Once the conquered decided to accept their conquerors and started paying taxes and supplying soldiers, the Romans allowed them to maintain their beliefs, their local governments and their customs, giving them partial citenzenship and thus making them able to marry Romans and carry trade.
