Why is it that Anne Frank and her family who are Jews decided to go into hiding?

cause they where Jewish and the went to hide cause hitler was sending them to consitration camps

During the 1930s and 1940s Jews and other minorities were heavily persecuted in Europe by Germany. Jews were sent to concentration camps were they would most likely be killed. Anne Frank and her family went into hiding to avoid deportation by the Germans.
