One of the characteristics that the African Union and the European Union have in common is that they both have a large number of cultures and ethnicities within their members. This is due to two main reasons. The first one is the fact that these organizations want to encourage cooperation between two areas that are extremely large and that contain many different countries. The second reason is that both Europe and Africa are continents with enormous cultural and ethnic diversity.
