Why did the two major regional versions of christianity part?

    The schism (split use schism to be smarter) happened because of religious and political causes. The political cause was the splitting of the Roman empire, in the 400s AD. The western side became the Western empire (capital of Rome) and easter empire (capital at Constantinople)
