    The unity of the empire was a big important step to have a powerful united empire. Many ask why do jews and muslim hate each other today compared to back then. The answer is the jews had a middle eastern culture and both were related because there are both semites. Today isreal has many europeans jews in isreal and not very similar to arabs. If the caliph would treat the jews bad, it would be against there prophets teachings
