What does " Bleeding Kansas" mean?

    The Kansas-Nebraska act of 1854 decided that territories could vote on whether or not to allow slavery. A lot of people went to Kansas to shift the results in their favor, and they ended up fighting over it. This was known as bleeding Kansas.
