What specific beliefs did colonists have about who was superior?

    Colonists who settled the united states believed that they (the white english speakers) were superior to the Native Americans. They thought their culture was more civilized and advanced with technology and housing. The colonists also were mostly christian and the Native Americans were usually not christian unless they converted.
