Based on the battles of lexington and concord, what advantages did the colonists have in fighting?

    For one, most importantly, a humane reason to fight. The Brits were sick people at the time

    Americans had a grand cause: They were fighting for their freedom

    Fighting on homelands: They may not have all been great fighters but they knew the lands better than the enemy.

    The war was expensive and the British population debated its necessity. In Parliament, there were many American sympathizers. Finally, the alliance with the French gave Americans courage and a tangible threat that tipped the scales in America's favor.
