In the book of Deuterenomy, the fifth of the five first books of the Bible, Moses made three important speeches to the people, before they enter the Promissed Land, he reminds them of the Covenant God made with them, promissing blessings, contingent upon their obedience. Moses, with the use of exhortations and warnings, explains the importance of keeping the ordenances. With admonitions and injunctions, he reviews the law given by God at Mout Sinai. Finally, he begs them to be faithful to the Covenant, which will ensure them of receiving the blessings.
