What factors led to George Washington being called the Father of our Country?

George Washington is particularly highlighted out of the Founding Fathers of the US as being the "father of our country" for his role as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, his resignation of command at the end of the war, and the presidency of the Constitutional Convention and his tenture as the 1st President of the US.
