    Ancient Mesopotamia became a great place for civilization because the land was very fertile. The tigris and the euphrates river both go the fertile crescent. When the rivers flood it makes the land full of water and great for crops. When the mesopotamians created irrigation it made the land perfect for growing crops and farming
