    In the 1950s, American businesses such as the housing industry benefited most directly from:

    A. The Baby Boom

    People had higher disposable income in the 1950s, so they planned bigger families. Families were able to buy and afford bigger houses to accomodate more kids. Now 1 bedroom house no sufficient, they wanted 3,4,5 bedroom houses and housing industry benefited directly from The Baby Boom of 1950s. Earlier big houses were not selling but in the 1950s, big houses started to sell to benefit housing industry directly.
