What conditions and developments coalesced in great britain to bring about the first industrial revolution? 2. what were the basic features of the new industrial system created by the industrial revolution?

    1. There were a number of factors that contributed to the first Industrial revolution including,

    - A stable form of government with little to no infighting.

    - Britain had a number of early entrepreneurs who contributed towards the development of new tools and machines.

    - Britain had tons of local coal that was going to fuel the next generation of its industrial output

    - Britain was also gradually growing it's colonies all over the world. This gave them new and bigger markets to export products.

    2. There were a number of features that defined the Industrial revolution including,

    - The introduction of the Steam Engine which not only changed transportation forever in the form of trains but also revolutionized the cotton industry with the introduction of more mechanized production methods.

    - Iron and coal industries boomed in this ear, developing new jobs which saw the movement of thousands of people from rural areas into towns and cities.
