None of the Big Three succeeded in achieving all of their aims at Versailles. George Clemenceau thought that Germany was not punished severely and the reparations payment was not high enough as he wanted Germany to be economically crippled. Woodrow Wilson who wanted to restore the world peace, believed that Germany should not be punished so severely. On the contrary, Wilson wanted to strengthen democracy in order to avoid another war. However, Wilson succeeded in the inclusion of the League of Nations. Lloyd George wanted to get rid of the German navy since he wanted Britain to go on being the strongest navy in the world. Nevertheless, he also wanted to trade with Germany; that's why he believed that Germany should not be punished too severely. Besides, he also shared the belief that Germany's military forces had to be reduced. Apart from their individual agendas, the Big Three failed their aim to make sure that Germany should never be able to start a war again.
