How do Lincoln and davis' perceptions of the constitution differ

    Lincoln took an oath to preserv, protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America. He was a man of strong character and deep principles so he was going to do his best to keep his oath. Davis didn't take an oath and he was not obliged by any means to anything.
