    Explanation:

    The Boston Massacre was the incident which occurred on 5th March 1770. The presence of British troops in the city of Boston roused the citizens, hence hey attacked a sentinel. After this British Captain called additional troops which opened fire on the mob and killed 3 people and wounded eight others.

    After the incident a town meeting and trial of Captain Preston was held. All the soldiers involved in firing upon the mob were released. Only two of the soldiers were found guilty of killing.

    This was one of the events which led to revolutionary war, after the incident the army was evacuated from Boston.
