How has the interpretation of equality for American women changed over time?

a.) The Constitution has been amended to forbid unequal treatment of the sexes

b.) Women have many more civil rights than they originally did

c.) Men and women are treated equally in all aspects of American life

d.) Women have lost civil rights that they once enjoyed because of prejudice

I think it's either A or B, but I'm leaning more towards B
