What reasoning did the supreme court apply in the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling?

To separate and to be equal under the 14th amendment. Black vs. White back in 1954 predicament. The schools were debating on letting Brown students in to learn with other students, which were the color white. Black mistreating will never be forgotten.
