    The 1848 Revolutions were inspired by the Enlightenment and the successful revolutions beginning with the American Revolution.

    The 1848 Revolutions included France, Austria-Hungary Empire, Italian and German Unification. In all of these revolutions nationalism and increased say in the government were the motives for new country formations.
