Why did Governor Wallace resist enrolling African Americans in the University of Alabama? He thought integration was a states' rights issue. He thought integration was an education issue. He thought integration was a religious issue. He thought integration was an economic issue.

    "He thought integration was a states’ rights issue" would be the best option from the list, but it should be noted he was simply a racist man who didn't like black people. It was less about state's rights and bigotry.
