What is taxation without representation? Why did the colonists consider this practice a problem?

    Taxation without representation simply means that people are being taxed without being allowed to have an elected official present in the body that makes the tax laws (in this case that body would be Parliament) - - meaning that the people being taxed have no say in what types of taxes are fair or not.
