In the late 1700s in Latin America the social structure strictly divided most countries. Natives were tired of being enslaved or hobbled by the mestizos and spanish. The mestizos wanted a chance to participate fully and revolution was brewing. When the space between poor and rich is too wide it always brews discontent.
