The revolutionary ideology challenged the very view of minorities. They wanted for the people whowere on the outskirts of social life to lead better lives in the sense of becoming more important and having more of a say in social life, compared to their previous social standing. Some improved their circumstances because they were at the right position at the right time, while others were at a wrong position at the wrong time.
