The code of Hammurabi is said to be one of the harshest law created. The law follows the concept of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." The law does not follow social equality but it gives more power to people in the higher class groups. Punishments would vary according to social status. People with same social status undergoes a different punishment compared to people with two different classes in society.
